Explora II, the second ultra-luxury vessel from MSC's Explora Journeys, is an exceptional ship to catalog for Cruise Library. The ship currently bases its operations out of Caribbean homeports like San Juan and Miami for tropical island itineraries, before repositioning to European homeports like Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), and Athens (Piraeus) for immersive voyages across the Western Mediterranean, the Aegean Sea, and North Africa. Onboard, the boutique-hotel-inspired vessel boasts several standout features: every one of its 461 suites is ocean-facing with a private terrace and heated bathroom floors; the sprawling outdoor decks house five different heated pools, including the adults-only panoramic Helios Pool; and the ship features a massive wellness sanctuary complete with a Himalayan salt cave. Additionally, the culinary program is a major highlight, offering six distinct, all-inclusive specialty dining venues like the pan-Asian Sakura and the European-style steakhouse Marble & Co. Grill.
